FTC court documents reveal TES6 targeting “2026 or later”

Source: The Verge

As part of the FTC v. Microsoft case surrounding Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, newly released court documents included one of the most significant public disclosures ever made about The Elder Scrolls VI. The documents indicated TES6 was internally expected to launch “2026 or later” and listed the game for Xbox and PC platforms only. The material also included references to Microsoft's broader exclusivity strategy following the Bethesda acquisition. Although the information came from internal planning documents rather than a public Bethesda announcement, the leak became one of the biggest concrete data points regarding TES6's projected timeline and platform direction. The disclosures heavily fueled community debate around Xbox exclusivity, PlayStation support, and whether Bethesda had internally targeted a much earlier launch window than fans expected.
